I Was Looking Into the Face of Jesus, the same face as on the Shroud of Turin
I was assembled with a church worshipping one Sunday morning, praising and remembering our Lord's death, and in the Spirit I was suddenly shocked to be face-to-face with Jesus about three inches in front of me -- I knew in the Spirit it was Jesus, and he told me to come near, because he was going to explode out of me. I wasn't sure what Jesus meant by 'explode', but I increased the time I was spending with Jesus, to grow closer to him.
It was after this that I came across the image below from the Shroud of Turin, and I was shocked that the person who spoke to me that Sunday morning, was the very same person shown on the Shroud of Turin.
I still wasn't sure what Jesus meant by 'explode', but after Jesus sent me to Africa, he exploded out of me when he taught his church reforms to church leaders. Jesus was so loud and exploded in such a blunt and no-holds-barred and no-punches-pulled way, that I wondered if I wouldn't be run out of town; I wasn't. Then God sent me to West Borneo, Indonesia, where Jesus' knock'em-down-drag'em-out teaching style remained impolite!
The thought of seeing Jesus as he was on earth in the first century -- the very same Jesus the apostles knew personally -- still leaves me feeling extremely humbled and unworthy, but this first century blessing is now for everyone in the twenty-first century too, that we can all see the face and body of Jesus on the Shroud of Turin.
